Change to Tier Restrictions - Blaby District and Leicestershire
Tier 4: Stay at Home
Blaby District and the rest of Leicestershire will move to Tier 4 Covid-19 restrictions from 00:01 on Thursday 31 December 2020
This means that:-
- People must stay at home except for very limited purposes (eg. for essential travel for work, education or medical appointments)
- You cannot meet indoors with anyone not in your household or existing support bubble

Covid cases high in young people
Figures well above the county average
Cases of coronavirus are high in young people between 10-21 years of age across the district of Blaby. The district is well above the county average and above the national average for 17-21 year olds.

Cosby, Croft and Elmesthorpe with highest rate of Covid
Dear Resident
The latest Covid-19 figures show that the villages of Cosby, Croft and Elmesthorpe currently have the highest number of cases in the district and in the top 5 Leicestershire areas with the highest number of cases.
There are cases in all areas of the district, but of particular concern are the numbers in Croft, Cosby and Elmesthorpe. People are contracting the virus whilst out and about... Read More »

We are having to suspend our garden waste collection for two weeks from Monday (16 November) due to staff shortages as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

NEWS RELEASE
Walk-in Covid-19 test centre to open in Narborough
A temporary Covid-19 walk-in test centre will be set up on the Visitors Car Park at Blaby District Council's Offices on Desford Road in Narborough.
The site will be managed by Department of Health and Social Care and their contractors, and will remain in place for six months, although this may be extended depending on local testing need.... Read More »

Across the district Covid-19 cases have continued to rise at a very worrying pace and hospital admissions are also on the increase. Overall in the district there are now 280.7 cases per 100,000 people.

Playground Open
Cosby Parish Council are pleased to announce that the Playground on Victory Park is now open.
We must stress however that this is not a covid secure area and we ask all users to help keep everyone safe by using the area responsibly.
There are signs around the playground giving guidance on how to use the area safely
