Coronavirus and Cosby Parish Council Meetings

Cosby Parish Council have taken the decision to cancel the April and June meetings due to the current situation with regard to Coronavirus.

The Annual Parish Meeting and The Annual Meeting of Cosby Parish Council, due to be held in May, are likely to be postponed but we await Government guidance.

Cosby Recreation Ground Charity Grants to Cosby community groups

CLOSING DATE 31st March 2020.

The Trustees of Cosby Recreation Ground Charity welcome small grant applications from local sports and community groups.

These are relatively small annual grants and are only to support Cosby based community and sporting groups.

Anybody wishing to apply for a grant should apply through the Clerk to Cosby Parish Council detailing how the grant would be used.

Dogs on Victory park

It is our sad duty to publicise the ever increasing level of dog mess being left on Victory Park.

The most recent events have seen dog mess left in the children's play area, on and around the football pitches and today, we have a report of dog mess on the table tennis table.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER - Chapel Lane, Cosby

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A road closure is required on Chapel Lane for 1 day on the 13th January 2020.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to investigate a depression in the carriageway.

Christmas Tree collections and drop-offs

Christmas Tree collections

We will be collecting Christmas Trees on the January Garden waste collection. Please ensure the tree is cut into 1m lengths before presenting with your garden waste bin. Find out your January collection date using the link above.

There will be five drop-off points for Christmas Trees in the district. These will be available from 02-10 January 2020.
