£20,000 in new Community Grant funding has been made available by Blaby District Council to support environmentally friendly projects in the district.

NOTIFICATION OF WATERPROOFING WORKS M1 Junction 20 Lutterworth Interchange North Bridge

I am writing to let you know that we will be carrying out essential renewal works to the waterproofing system of the north bridge located at junction 20 on the M1.

During our scheme of work, we will:

• plane off the existing carriageway surface

• remove and replace the existing waterproofing system

• resurface the carriageway

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A temporary 40mph speed limit will be in force on Guthlaxton Gap & Coventry Road (B4114) from the 01/04/2021 until the 16/04/2021.

During the work, various temporary traffic lights will also be in place along the B4114 and Coventry Road, Broughton Astley (B581).

Telephone outage - Cosby

The sporadic telephone outages around The Nook are due to a major cable being damaged.

BT Open Reach have provided the following inormation.

A new cable has already been installed but we need to carry out some works on the underground joints and then begin the process of transferring customers over to the new cable.
